I bought this bike about 5 years ago now, and only rode it for 1 season. :-\ I bought it when it was complete but didn't run, and was very rusted and beat. I disassembled it and restored everything that went back on. I rode it around pretty much stock then got bored with it and wanted more when it started giving me ignition problems and it turned out the battery was junk because the stator is so weak it couldn't keep up with the headlight. I'm rewinding another stator for it to solve that issue.

I did everything myself in my little backyard shed expect for the paint which I did in a booth. I tried using some moped coils for the ignition which worked, but it was very short lived till I blew one coil at idle. It's almost ready to register, I just need a headlight switch/relay, and a taillight/plate mount. I'm not sure what I want to do for a taillight yet....I've been thinking about modifying an LED trailer light to work as a brake/tail.

I like the brat look, but not many people including myself like the thin almost missing seat look that are on brat copycat bikes, so I made my own seat pan from fiberglass, a couple layers of camping mat, and covered it with a new cover that was meant for the stock seat. It fit surprisingly well to my surprise and benefit. I think it fits the bike well and it's very comfortable. Here's a couple pictures of where I'm at so far.

Looks real good!

So are you almost finished, or do you plan to tear it down and re do it again?

Thanks guys. I already tore it down once then changed it afterwards. I just need to paint some spots on the frame where I cut tabs off. I want to add some accents in black to the tank just because it looks rather plain. The paint is Sunset Orange but it looks red to my color blind eyes haha.

I forgot to mention in my first post that the swing arm is stretched 80mm (3.1"). I turned some steel slugs down to the same diameter and welded it up. It's very sturdy but I need new rear shocks that are a little longer down the road.

Nice job man, I really dig the look. Nice color choice too. Those Superbike or Renthal bars?
