i just recently picked up a 650 knight hawk to ride to and from work.
the boss has informed me that either my mustang goes or the cb500. well needless to say the car is not going any where.
so first off i am located in Brockville, ontario Canada. i will meet from ottawa to picton area for very interested buyers. they both are about 1hr from me seems fair.
ok, so the bike is a cb500f, it has a 4 into one on it right now, i have the 4-4 headers pipes for it.
the bike has totaly beed redone, from the inners of the engine to the look of the bike. heres a list, i might forget one or two things, but heres the just of it.
1. engine- new crank bearings, new timing chain-sliders-tensioners-and pads, new oem sized pistons ( not bored out ), eletronic ingition, new hardwear ( allen key head bolts ), new oil press sensor, newer oil pump, new drive chain and sprockets, new valve seal, valve seats and valves cleaned up at a shop. cyls cleaned aswell.
new headgasket kit including- o-rings and seals.
carbs aswell, new jets, all cleaned etc. ( i have not had them sinked yet ), and im sure i am missing something?
2. the frame has been cut and painted, bobbed front fender. new seat, cafe brat style real nice seat. tank is origanal and spotless in side, new side covers, new cafe fairing, new wiring harness, new turn signals, new head light, new wheel bearings. etc. there is more i am sure.
3. new tires, liners and tubes. wilwood clip-ons, new small speedo.
there is problebly more but cant remember.
the bike is painted red, tank, side covers and swing arm, rest is black. seat is black with red stiching.
now i know i need to get some pics, i will get some up.
the bike is still apart, and i am trying to get it together, so i can get the most out of it.
just need to get the motor in and pegs etc.
i rode this bike all last year, worked just fine, thought i would redue it and sell it knowing i was going to get my friends knight hawk, he just bought a 07 beemer.
any way, i will get some pics up here, in the state its in now, and then if it is not sold, i will post some more again of it done.
i have about 1500 + in the engine alone, another couple hundred in the paint and fairing and clip-ons and seat.
then theres tires, and on and on and on....
i will try and get 1500$ cert if i can and around 900-1000$ as it sits.
but i am really trying to get it together and gone for the riding season.
