1973 DT250 cafe racer

THat would certainly save me some time and headache if I could get a full set for less than $40.

EDIT
I'm looking, man, I see just the passenger pegs for $30 each (that's per-side) without control levers.
I almost think it might be less hassle to machine my own. I'm a fabricator, I can make 'em look good.

I;ve decided without a question that the best option for me is to construct a set of cantilevered steel rearset mounts. I can make them light and strong. Strong being more important than light.
Most importantly, I can position them exactly where I want them in relative to my comfortable seating position.

Ugh... Phenomenally frustrated right now.
Magically stopped producing spark yesterday.

I'm thinking the points slipped.

Though it's probably for the best anyway, because the clutch won't disengage all the way. That would have been interesting. XD

It was definitely flooded, but with the plug out and grounded on the head, it wasn't making a spark.

hm... put the plug in the plug wire, the hold it and move the kicker, if it shockes you, your good.
if no, start with new plug

Yeah, tried that with a fresh plug.

I knackered the wiring or slipped the points somehow.

I have to rewire the whole thing, anyway.

Henry's still working on getting my drag bars out to me, though I'm in no real hurry to get this thing done. You can't rush art.

Starting to think about rearsets. I want to get the controls worked out so I can build my seat to match their geometry.
Begs the question:
Where is a safer place (less likely to damage the bike or the rider) to mount rearsets, the passenger pegs on the swingarm, or the back of the frame directly behind the existing foot controls?

I also went to the frame. I was worried about hitting a bump and causing the bike to shift or brake because of swingarm movement. I was also concerned about how my legs would move around, and how I wouldn't be able to lock in as tight to the bike. I don't think it would be safe to go on the swingarm.

THat was my concern, accidental shifts or braking if I hit a bump.
I was wondering if I was overthinking it, and if not, why people still use the passenger pegs for mounting rearsets.

Frame it is.

Not yet. But the motherfucker fired on the first kick once I put the flywheel on all the way.
