surfing and motorcycles.... yup
Alright most of you have seen my stuff over in the big ass projects section but i finally earned my spot in the show and shine section. its been about a year in the making but its done, (minus the rear fender that i still have to put on)
dug it out of a barn and started trying to figure out how to build a motorcycle. it didnt run.. it was full of hornets nests. i had no idea what i was doing. but i think it turned out ok :) im happy that i did everything my self minus pj did my carbs and the motorcycle shop put my tires on. not to say i didnt have a lot of help from a lot of people on here, namely Sonreir Trek97 Crazypj and Honda007, could not have done it with out them. and there were loads others who helped me along the way. thanks everybody who helped me get this done and to all those of you who just watched it happen. i have no motocycle buddies where i live, you guys here on dtt are the only ones who care about my little labor of love here. hope you all enjoy what i have built. I KNOW I WILL!

Thank you so much! I always hoped my build would turn out as nice as some of the BOTM on here. I never would have guessed that it would end up nice enough for somebody to actually nominate it! :D I am honored Azhonda. im really really glad people like what i built. i am scared to think about what other bikes would get nominated when the time comes. im not sure i would stack up against some of the other builders on here who are much more talanted than myself. the only way i got this far was with a little luck and because of a whole lot of help from you fine people on dtt. thanks again man, it means a lot to me.

You got it brother!

The thing I like about what people build here is it is a reflection of them. There are things that I would not do and many things that give me inspiration for my current or next build. The things I wouldn't do are just personal style but non the less I appreciate the builders and that's what makes this place tick with such talented people.
Again, good job on the build. You and Sonrier almost have me talked into doing some sort of shade of red on my next bike frame.

PS.
Do you have a pic of how you mounted your speedo guage? I have a new speedo coming in from DCC to put on my CL350. Just looking for mounting ideas.

thanks guys! i have had a little electrical drama today with it, so it is no longer done... lol it was "done" for about 24 hours and now its back to being an eternal project haha.

Amazing too look at what you started with and what ya did with it. Very nice, I am constantly looking through your build and getting thoughts and inspiration on my 360. Ya deffinately got a strong hold for BOTM with her.

We will see what happens lol I never would asked anybody to nominate the bike. But I would be lying if I said I was not a little excited :) growing up looking through old car and bike magazines I always wished I could drive/ride something unique and special enough to be in a spot lighted in a magazine or whatever, then when I started wrenching on stuff I understood that the real beauty was in the craftsmanship and quality and vision of the builders. I have a lot more respect now for the builders of those magazine quality cars/bikes. But I think it's probably easier to impress a bunch of people who don't know anything about bikes than it is to impress a bunch of new and seasoned builders who will likely be looking at every aspect of the bike and know what's they like and what they hate in a bike because of that I would consider BOTM a way tougher challenge than just getting a picture in a magazine. I won't keep my fingers crossed but ill always consider it an honor that you guys nominated me for it. Yesterday was not a great day for the bike, I was pretty frustrated when my right side points fried. But it was just a matter of time with 30 year old points. But it's comments from people like you that keep me going. Thanks again

One hell of a transformation! Is that a chopped front fender? I want to do that but I wonder how much you can take off before it doesnt serve a purpose anymore..

WOW! I gotta be honest here.. I was NOT expecting to see such a GREAT looking bike man. I thought it was going to be a typical mildly built cafe. But damn.. that thing is just all kinds of sexy. Unbelievable job you've done there! Lets get a video clip of it running! That would be sweet!
