The weather is finally great here, so I can't wait to get mine back on the road. I did a little spring maintenance on mine:
- Removed carbs - cleaned them up. Need to balance them once I get my port adapters from common-motor collective.
- Polished up the carb vacuum lids (mine are very pitted, still working on them) & polished up the float chamber.
- removed forks - putting new seals in them.
- stripped all the crappy clear coat off them and now sanding them to get back the clean brushed look. Debating if I polish then or not, right now thinking I don't polish them up.
- Will de-glaze the front disk brake and replace the pads.
- Replace top tripple tree - that I found was cracked (broken and held only by the fork bolt) - will strip and paint the replacement when it arrives.
