1974 Honda CB360 Garage Find Cafe Build

Looks killer dude. Glad you have it on the road. Only thing I would say is that the 360 decal weight seems a little high. Looks a lot heavier than the tank decal. But I'm really splitting hairs, looks great.

I thought that after I got it on. It was a bitch to weed out that tank logo but now I'm gonna have to go back at some point and redo it since you noticed right off!

I'm obsessed with two things about them. 1) Owning one and 2) Never being able to afford one!

I can't believe you beat me on the road friend. Uncle Deadly lives.

Your not to far behind with that new one in the truck. We gotta get a name that thing STAT! I suggest we start drinking tomorrow morning for inspiration.

I haven't spent too much time working on the bike. Been riding he hell out of it while i still had some warm days left! GOt out the other morning and noticed some serious play in the front end. Upon inspection I noticed what is in the photos below. I tried to tighten the bolt down but that thing is on there solid. My question is do I need to lift the bike up and get the pressure off to tighten this up or am I just doing something stupid? Either way I shouldn't have my balls hanging out like that!

You need to have the top triple clamp loose on the fork. Otherwise the fork holds it apart.

Those bearing look awfully dry too....make sure you grease em up!

So I basically need to loosen the top bolt, "gently" hammer it back together and then tighten it all back up? Good call on the grease. That had probably been exposed for a month and a half now.

I have never needed a hammer to put them together....I have the All Balls set in my CB360 and my NH750.

The races had to be gently tapped in, but the stem bolt, when the fork pinch clamps are loose, should tighten it properly without any hammering. Not too good to hammer bearings, it can cause little dents in the rollers or races.

Go easy and it should work well. If it isn't going together, I would take it apart further and make sure the races are seated and everything is in order.

Will do and thanks for the advice. I had a heck of a time getting the old assembly out of there and the new ones went in relatively easy but I guess they also backed out just as easy too. Gonna go look for a moto lift/jack today I guess.
