I bought this bike 6 months ago as a non runner. Since then I have:
1. put in a NOS 1st over piston, wrist pin, piston bearing and cir-clips. That was the reason is didn't run.
2. put a NOS headlamp in as the existing one was burned out.
3. I cleaned the bike as best I could and paint the exhaust while I have it off.
4. added a new battery.
5. cleaned the carb, gas tank and oil tank. Tank is not creamed and does not need to be. It's very clean inside.
6. Fresh fluids gas, oil, transfer case oil
7. new tires
The bike runs very good and starts after a few kicks. Good strong power. Smooth shifting. I have a clear title in my name with a Washington State collector plate. Has 4774 miles for now but will go up.
The bikes needs a seat cover, front turn signals and bars.
The seat cover cold be stretched and left on the bike as it has now rips.
The existing front turn signals are so corroded they cause the fuse to blow once you flip the switch. Other than that all the electrical is good to go.
The bars are slightly bent but could be fixed.
I was going to ask $1800 for this once I had all the stuff sorted out but I'm needing some cash. I'll continue to work on this bike and ride it until it's sold. The closer to being finished the closer to my asking price I'll be.
For now all reasonable offers will be considered. Will consider partial trade for 1960-70's motorcycles of all types running or not. I won't consider a bikes without a title in trade. I especially like Ducati singles, two stroke street bikes and small cc street bikes
