That paint job is AWESOME! Looks sweet man!

Thanks.
It is not bad for a first time paint job but I have the bug now. I want to paint more and more and more, maybe we will see how bad I mess up the clear. ;D

Ain´t you worried that the exhaust will mess up the carbie setting?
Reckon the pipes may be to short in relation to the cylinder volume and the back pressure will mess up the pulses.
I would have made it longer, putting the silencer under the engine/on the side at least.
I´m assuming that you made a splitter inside the connector otherwise the engine will run like a bag of old shit, if it will be able to run more than a few seconds that is.

Have you thought about the soundlevel on that thing when you put your head just above it? Might want to go get som ear-plugs ;D
It look cool thou! :)

EDIT: WICKED PAINTJOB!

Eleganten; This exhaust has been the topic of much debate. The conector is split and the pipe actualy bends down inside the collector. I don't think the back pressure is going to be a problem as it is the bends in an exhaust make up most of the back pressure. I am more concerned about the heat on the silencer and how long before it burns up.... As for sound levels (shrug sholders) I can't wait to hear it run. Worst case I cut up some more pipe and weld up a new one. This exhaust is very clean and I like that part the most.
And Yea I am loving the Paint.
Thanks

OK, I see.
I´ll leave it be and we´ll see how it turns out, might work out in the end anyway.

How´s the clearance with the exhaust and front wheel when the fork are fully compressed?
Don´t want to hit the exhaust when you hit a pothole. My experience is based on a moped but hitting the exhaust at 30 mph is enough for having your balls emigrating back in the body ;D

Clearance is good. I pulled the springs and bottomed it out to make sure... I live in upstate NY and potholes are knee deep...

Ok long over due update... Paint is done. Seat is done. Carbs are done (still need some tuning). Started up over the weekend on the first try.... sounds awesome! The only reason it is not on the road is my uncle charge the batter over night on an old regular charger. My Lithium Battery was Charged over night!!!
For those who don't know you can chage a Lithium battery with a standard battery charger but it should only take 40 minutes or so on trickel (I would not make a habit of this)or you can use a charger designed for a lithium battery and it will stop charging when it is fully charged. Over charging results in meltdown...
So I have a new battery ordered. Next weekend I hope to finish tuning and have it on the road...

I've never seen an exhaust set up like that.

Cool Bike

There was a rad cb650 in classic bike last year using a hacked up r1 exhaust that looked like that. Cool.

Very nice bike. Reminds me of my buddy Neal's.

dang man, it took me a while to find the exhaust on that this thing, haha. hope you're planning on posting a video of it running! i'd be very interested to see how it sounds! nice work!

Thanks everyone. I hope I can finish up all the odds and ends this weekend. It has taken me about 3 months longer that I would have liked. It is far from finished i will end up repainting over the winter, maybe redesign the tail and i want to design a better dash/ gauge cluster. But it is my first and only bike and I have been dying not being able to ride. I will definitely post a video of it running.

Fantastic Piant man really great idea ! Only thing i see is orange on frame and orange on tank/seat are just a few shades off but dont get me wrong still very nice looking bike man !!!!
