Hi guys,
I bought a 1975 cb 125s, for a couple hundred bucks but it's in rough shape, engine was seized so I started to take it apart but the pervious owner stripped out most of the engine case screws/bolts, I've drilled a few out after trying to use my impact driver but they're pretty stuck in there, do I need to drill them all the way out or is there a way to get the engine to split after I've drilled them? Any help would be great!

If you can get the heads off the screws you should be able to just slide the covers off, then use vice grips or something to grab the screw and turn it out. Otherwise get a drill and some screw extractors, that's what I did for the horribly stripped case screws on my 350.

Awesome! Thanks man. I'll grab some screw extractors, I've got all the heads off, case isn't sliding at all unfortunately.

Are you talking about taking off the clutch and alternator covers or actually splitting the cases? I did that for the clutch and alternator cases, since the 350 had socket heads for the screws holding the case together. I didn't have to split the cases on my 125, so I don't remember what type of screws they were. I imagine if they're phillips heads the extractor would work. I do love how simple these engines are though!
