yea I know I've been on that fine line of too tall. Granted in this pic the gas tank is not mounted with the rubber grommets so the tank height will change and also imagine an upholstered seat pan there too and the hump shouldn't *fingers crossed* look too bad. I am pretty sure that I'm going to take a lil bit of height off of the tip of the tail. Probably about 3/8'' and give the tail a more tapered looked. The tail is definitely far from finished but at least a step in the right direction

Ah okay that all makes sense. When the tank gets lifted, even a bit, it will be right. The tail does have great shape.

The idea for the shape came from a combination of the shape of the tail light and knee dents you often see in the gas tanks. I thought it'd be a unique twist. Here's a quick pic of what i'm thinking of trimming off the tail. Not a huge difference but it will help center the tail light in the seat and a more dynamic line than just a plain straight line

I just checked out those wrench tech racing swingarm extensions. That swingarm will crack. Don't know when but we do know where.

Just thought I'd let you know up front.

yea I've read that. one of those leap before you look *D'oh moments. I'm not to worried about it now. I've got a spare stock one lying around. I've already decided to go ahead with and and go back to stock if I don't like the stretch. If I do like the stretch then I'll fab one.
