Looks great, have you got a picture of the electrical layout as i am doing something similar myself.
I was going to try and hide the battery but after seeing yours i think it looks good mounted in the middle.

Thanks- the electrical is all tucked up under the seat cowl and it is kind of a pain to get off. If I have it off I will snap a picture. I am not a huge fan of the big gaping triangular abyss that is left when removing everything from behind the carbs to the rear wheel (no trying to offend anyone who likes that look) so leaving the battery there didn't bother me, but I plan to cut some stainless strips to slide in the the battery box to hide the battery itself.

Nice one! Great bike, I rode one for two years. I agree you need to box or cover your battery, but the rest looks good.

very sweet, how do you like those rearsets? I was thinking of getting a set. how's brake pedal feel, shifting, kickstarter..... (I have an ss)

an here's a tip for you. cbx 1000 triple clamp will slide right on, it's flat so you'll loose the fork tubes sticking up an have more room to move the other bits around. they're super cheep on ebay. cheers mike

Hey, thanks for the tip on the tripple clamp! The rearsets are cool looking, but not very comfortable. I had a full knee dislocation while riding in the dirt in Michigan 14 years ado and don't have full range of motion in my left knee- I can only ride it for a few minutes . . . but I knew that when I bought it. It is more to look at than ride, for me.

Silver honda wing logo mike look great on the side of the tank. You can get them for like 5-6 bucks a pair on Ebay in vinyl. various sizes.

Nice work.

buckeye, thanks for the rearset review. an yes, you've surely captured the art of motorcycling. enjoy

Very nice man.

Just make sure not to completely seal the battery off from moving air. It gets hot, and needs that air to cool it a bit.

Von, thanks for the tip as I never thought of that. I might use some stainless screen or mesh (like for a window or porch) along with the sheet stainless- just enough to hide the battery a bit.

If I want to ride, I get on my '08 Thruxton ;D
