Wanting to change from the stock rearsets.. havent found many options for this bike. For those that have changed theirs, what did you do and how did you do it.
I used the factory restarts off of an 87 CBR600f1. I had to weld some attachment points to the frame. In this picture I was still planning on using the original drum rear brake, but I have since decided to go with a disk. your results may vary.
I welded some plates on and mounted up a set of Tarozzi universals.... but if I were do it over, I would just use a set off a modern-ish sport bike like two-smoker
Yeah, one thing I forgot to mention was the splines on the shifter from the Honda bits matched up perfectly with the Yamaha shaft, so... Yeah. One more benefit to the way I did it.
Running 06 R6 stock rearsets which work great but learned a few things . Well really just messed up and that is the angle there welded on ,on the shifter side can't get linkage to work so GP shifting it is LOL and on kick start side kicker hits peg ! Just been to lazy to fix the issue LOL
