Hello! I just bought the bike in the subject. It is my first bike, and I am quite excited. I'm not completely ignorant to engines, but I am by no means an expert like many of you. I took some things apart yesterday and cleaned the carb. I have to put it back together this evening. I think some fresh oil, air pods, and a battery and I can get it running.

I'd like to eventually put a flat, thin seat on it without the cafe style bump in the back. Can anyone suggest a battery that I can hide easily?

I know to grab 10w-40 oil and I just have to measure the inner diameter to get the air pods ordered (I know this may mean I have to rejet, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there).

Any advice is appreciated. I truly have a ton to learn, so pardon my ignorance.

Thanks,
Ray

Not the best picture of the bike itself, but all I have right now.

It didn't come with the stock air box. It had one air pod and the other was missing.

It's also going to need some new tires soon. I really like the bigger tire look I've been seeing. Any suggestions in that area from anyone? I know the rims are 18in.

Check out Shinko 428 and 705 ;)

Great looking 360 Ray and War Eagle! For a small battery you could always go with an anti-gravity 4 cell. I was told that the 4 cell would work fine with our 360's. I plan on buying one but they are a bit pricey so I haven't shucked out the dough for it yet. Are you still in the Auburn area?

War Eagle! I'm not in the area any longer, but in the upstate of the Carolinas.

I looked at the anti-gravity but have concerns about adjustments I'll need to make to the electrical system to ensure it stays below 14.8 volts. I was thinking maybe a small AGM?

And thanks for the tire suggestions, I'll definitely check those out!

Link to another thread here, if this is the tire look you're going for he has the sizes specified.

Oh ok that's cool. I was getting excited that there might be another 360 in the area haha. A small AGM is a pretty good idea. Let me know if you need any parts. I have a parts bike and I might have what you're looking for on the cheap. :)

Welcome to DTT. Bike looks in good shape. I would second the stock air boxes if you can find a pair. No need to change the batter and jetting.

Thanks man! I'll let you know.

And JohnGoFast, I appreciate it. I'll have to look up exactly what I am talking about and post a photo and maybe y'all can help me.

A running bike trumps all else... Start there and fiddle later. Cool bike and the sixth gear is nice to have.

Upstate SC, huh? That guy Ellwood and I both grew up there. If you decide to keep the pods, then get the carbs modded by CrazyPJ. He's on this forum and the HondaTwins forum under the same name. These CV carbs don't work on pods without the mod. Then, get the K&N RU or RC1820 pods. The Emgo's and similar pods block passages and alter flow.

I'm missing my 360. Traded it to a friend near you in Tryon. But I got to ride it this past weekend.

Thanks for the info on the pods, I'll look up CrazyPJ. I'm in Spartanburg. I'm excited to get it running! It cranked when I bought it so I'm hoping with a little work it will be running smoothly soon and I can get it on the road.

Nice. Spartanburg is where I spent most of my hanging out growing up through high school. My best friend lives near Converse College. We'll have to get together for some rides. My mom is in Greer now, so I'm up there all the time.
