Re: 1976 CB750F project.

Went out to get a few bike parts today and came home with a new used GMC sierra truck. No bike part in truck either. LOL

Re: 1976 CB750F project.

Few move things done today. I sanded down the battery box and sprayed it with rust-oleum. Set all the valves today, and ajusted the cam chain.

Cleaned carb's float was super dirty on # 1 cylinder. The PO f-up the choke linkage up. He had the air jets set form 3/4 on one and 1 1/2 turns out on another other two I did not even check.

Re: 1976 CB750F project.

I been thinking a lot about front suspension and decided to update. I thought about GL 1000 like Tweakin but I would have wanted a fork brace and other thing which add up to a lot so I decided that I would go newer. I want to do GSXR front end, but did want to spend the extra money. I found a good deal on a 1996-1997 CBR F3 front end controls and front wheel for under 200.00 it need some cleaning and some love. So the next phase of the build will start now

Re: 1976 CB750F project.

Matching the orange body color on the main portion with a silver shoulder would be cool

Re: 1976 CB750F project.

I know that the F3 use a electric pick up for the speedo. not sure if that will make things easy to use and aftermarket gauge or not.

Ive been thinking about running F2 wheels on my 78F and try and use the stock forks and swingarm but so far im still just collecting parts.

what are your plans for the rear wheel?

Re: 1976 CB750F project.

Not really sure, maybe run two diffrent wheel may go to spokes. Here is a picture after a little tear down tonight. I now see why Tweakin went with gold wing front end same bearing size and I believe as stem. We will see what happens.
