1976 Kawasaki KZ400, 5500 original miles, runs PERFECT. Has electric start, and also kicks over on the first or second kick. The bike has been very nicely rebuilt/restored with new House of Kolor metallic green on the tank (tank is SUPER straight), side covers and headlight housing. New bars, new controls, new chain and sprockets, new tires, new cables, etc. New OEM style seat cover with "Kawasaki" print. Bike has been completely gone through by an experienced mechanic.

Engine runs great and has NEW Mikuni VM32 carbs with fully operation single lever choke control and K&N filters. I have tuned the carbs after some trial and error and it runs smooth through all areas of the RPM range. Ignition coil has been "hot wired" off ignition source for stronger spark, new points that were just set, new plugs etc.

I simply don't have the time to enjoy the bike with three young kids and a traveling job. No test rides without cash in hand...it is simply too nice of a bike to risk. I will gladly demonstrate the roadworthiness of the bike. I have driven the bike to work (75 mile round trip) with zero issues multiple time and gone to shows, to the store, joyriding, etc...you won't be disappointed in this bike. All that said,

$2500 FIRM. Located in Richmond, Va area.

Beautiful bike! That bike is glad you didn't turn it into a cafe racer or bobber, that's for sure.

Good luck with the sale!

No kidding, just too nice to cut up. Even with pod filters on the VM's, no frame "detabbing" has even been done. The guy that built this did everything very tastefully. Whoever buys it can do what they like, but am sure they will find they won't bugger with it.

I love the bike...it looks like what I did to my tank on the KZ650 I'm restoring.
