Here are a couple pics of my newly updated 1976 xs650. Recently replaced my clubmans with Tomaselli adjustable clip-ons added the new seat and oil filter/cooler. Bike is riding and handling better than ever. I've had this bike for 20 years next month and it's a continuous work in progress. Hmmm...what's next. Now if it would just stop raining.

running that old girl a bit lean I see. have you ever thought about putting a cooler inline on the bike. Are those exhust from mikes? I just bought a set of his commando style pipes they are due to arrive this afternoon.

good looking bike

Mortikan I have a 73tx650

Is that the Mikesxs seat as well? Looks pretty good! Let us know how the oil filter thing works out - that's the one that lets you use Honda filters?

Thanks guys,
The headers are from 650central I bought them maybe 8 years. I don't think they sell them any more. They are stainless and have colored quite a bit with age.
The seat is one of the new mikesxs seats. It was honestly out of the box , mounted and was out riding in about 15 minutes. After dealing with mounting the seat on my rd350 - fabbing a seatpan and padding etc I couldn't resist. Plus it's covered so I think it looks OK with the stock fender left on - although I'll probably still remove it eventually. I think the tank is the original tank because you can see the 1976 french blue paint peaking thru the black on the bottom. I got lucky. This bike was already painted black (just as it is now) with the emblems removed when I bought it back in '88 but I may finally break down and paint her this winter.

looking good. that mikes seat has been back-ordered for the last year. I went with the OMARS kit.. much cleaner and seat is very comfy... the only downside is that it's twice the price of mikes.
