MMMMember when A&W had fresh root beer almost like 10/40 and that cream home made style buttery ice cream for floats... I still have the little mug for coffee

Still do....just in Canada. Still with the glass mugs (baby, mama and daddy). Xb should know that- he is in Quebec. Meant to wish him a happy Louis Riel Day last week.

LOL

Got the clear coat down. We'll let it harden 24 hours then wet sand and polish...

This paint never looks the same in a pic. Seems more silver on real life.

Waiting on a few bits to show up in the mail- shocks, fuel line wye, and a fuel cap. The seat isn't permanently installed yet, nor are rear lights. Soon, we hit the road.

Looks sweet! Paint turned out nice.

Turns and tail yet? Yellow wires may need to be rethought with blue paint.
Yep...

I'll get the tail lights in this afternoon after I earn back some shop time with the wife and a little Daytona 500.

Maybe some yellow pinstriping then. Stripes, somewhere.
It's already so much prettier than the day I pushed it.

Perhaps you should mount some frame sliders so you don't scratch that pretty paint when you lay it on its side to attack it with a drill.

deviant, are you 100% happy with the paint color?
I'm 100% happy with the paint color. I'm not 100% convinced it's the right color for this bike.

Just checking with the artist. Thought you might say something like that. There are lots of colors.

It think it looks great.

Man, you've made this bike come a looooong way. Looks great man.
I remember how hard it was to keep this running while at Barber. I even thought you should quit trying to get the bike running. But your perseverance paid off.
I can't wait to see this with some Decals.

Question: is that front fender too close to the tire? It looks like a tight fit towards the front of the fender but fine on the back side of the fender.

Much thanks. Yeah, It was a goal to get the bike to Barber, finished or not. Something between Kiley, a few others and myself. It got there, rode from Kiley's to Barber and back under its own power, then I put about 4 more weeks of riding on it before I took it back apart for finish.

There are plans for some hand lettering and pinstriping. Something Kiley (Kanticoy) and I will collab on.

The fender clears fine, but in the pic it's not square. There's adjustment in the fender that the pic doesn't show. It's more square now.

Looks great...always liked that color cuz of the Z1R. Had a Nova that color and was considering for my bike but you beat me to it so I have a couple others in mind.
