it looks real good. did you make the seat yourself?

thanks! I cut and bent the seat pan out of aluminum and had a local guy (buffalo, ny) do the upholstery. He used a marine grade vinyl. He did a great job, and was way cheap too.

Where did you get the seat?

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2

a local guy in Buffalo, NY. I supplied the seat pan and he did the upholstery. Was very reasonably priced at 100 bucks and i think it turned out great.

Nice work Jay, you can see that quite a bit of work has gone in to this bike. I will watch this as there are a few things you have done that I plan on doing. Such as the rear peg mount cut.

Thanks Brodie. Those old passenger pegs were really ugly - I am trying to make the rear end as clean and simple as possible. I am going to make a set of removable passenger pegs soon.

never heard of that, is that something that just clamps onto the subframe? got a link?

Some one on here made a set recently. Don't remember who it was though. They work a bit like how clip on bars do.

EDIT: Here are some I found just then.

Those are very similar to what I plan to make. They sell something like this at DimeCity, but i dont really like the design. I will start a thread when I get to building them.

Since you cut off the 2up peg braces where you going to mount them? just have the other half wrap her legs around your waist if she wants a ride

hahaha. I actually told me wife i am going to get a girlfriend with no legs...

I ended up cutting the stock passenger pegs, that I hacked off the frame, and welding them right to the rear sub frame. Its only temporary, so they dont look pretty. But at least she can go on some rides with me before the snow flies. Sure beats her resting her feet on the backs of my legs - not comfortable for either one of us.

I will get some pics up soon.
