Hello all,
I'm new to the site and forums in general so hi! I've got a 1977 Suzuki GS750. It was very clean and partially restored when I came a crossed it so I couldn't turn it down. These are some pictures of it last august when I purchased it.

My first project was the battery box. It was one of the few items that the previous owner didn't touch so I just ground it down and spray painted it black. It turned out better than what i had expected. 8)

Then I found some Chrome engine guards on ebay for it. Gotta love them barn finds. It was still in the plastic and came with a thinner nut and washer so you could keep your main engine mounting bolt!!

Then off came the tank and rear plastic to get rid of the bump, dings, and rust. As you can See they werent in too bad of shape. But they aren't perfect yet.

That's a very clean bike. I don't care much for the lights or the carbon fiber looking cam covers, but that's just me. I actually like the case guards that were made for the GS bikes. They fit nice and tight. The luggage rack is handy too.

If you plan to make any mods (more like restomods), I'd look into a dual disc front end from a GS850G. They're 37mm forks and there are upgrades available for twin pot calipers with bigger discs. Replacing the rear shocks with something better and getting some good rubber on there will make a big difference (BTW, I don't recognize those wheels from any GS, but if they're light and a decent size, keep them). After that, just ride it and enjoy it's late 70's superbike awesomeness.

Clean GS. I had a GS650 that was that similar color. Those mags look like Lester mags or maybe off a recent Bonneville. Either way they look nice. Here's a shot of my 650. Its pretty much all original except for the painted the mags and new shoes.

Yeah Hardline_42 I understand your feels about the headlight. I bought it because it was cheaper than even getting an OEM used light. The biggest advantage is the sight that I have now. I can see about 2x as much. I'll take safety over looks any day. I am looking to do a fork conversion soon.

Nice Gs Crackerman! Yeah I will have to ask the previous owner where he got the mags from because I would like to know myself. They are pretty rad.

I meant the LED strips under the tank. Not my bag. I'm with you on function over form, though.

OHH my bad! Well Yeah same concept though. More Lights = more likely to be seen by traffic. I just feel safer with the LEDS on at night.
