1977 Honda CB400F - Turn Signal Relay Replacement

Laughter13

Rose is my 77' Honda CB400F... my first bike
Does anyone know if i can replace my turn signal relay with a universal one, or one from any other bike?

Bike badit has OEM turn signal relays for $69.99, but I see tons of other relays on ebay for $15.

Do i need the OEM?

another question:

I have the original turn signals, which werent on the bike when i bought it (so who knows if they even work). I was thinking of upgrading to LED turn signals to create less draw in the battery (and cuz they look cool), so would i need a different type of relay for those? Should i just get LED's now?

I would replace all at once- led signals and a low draw relay. But the relays can be found at your local auto parts store as well. Just look for ones that say "low voltage" or something. Should be around 10 bucks.

would any LED aftermarket turn signals work?

Any LEDs should work fine. Just make sure you have the ability to run running lights and turns 3 wires) if you want them to be on continuously.

The OEM light have two wires only.... but couldnt i hook up the third wire for the turn signal to something like the headlight to make them come on with that?

If you have 3 wire running light/turn signal, connect the running light to orange with white tracer and light blue with white tracer.
honda fitted the wiring for running lights on front
