I have the changed the MC to one from 1984/85, one of those square ones, since I think the original is very big. But I think that I lack brakepower, really have to squeese hard on the brakelever for slow stopping...
Could it be that the newer MC lacks the brakepower, or should I mabye instal newer brakelines?
Any master cylinder with the same plunger diameter should do the same thing, so that's probably not your problem. Doesn't the service manual say to replace brake lines every 5 years or something? If you have rubber lines, braided stainless lines will make a world of difference.
Got to drive some more miles today, and discovered a new issue... Some minutes after stopping it starts dripping petrol from the hoses connected to the float bowles. I know the vacuum petcock is in order, already checked that. It stops after a while, could that just be the petrol in the hose from gas tank which leaks out? Is there a way to adjust the float bowls on this bike, or what can it be? The carbs are recently picked a part and cleaned.
