1977 XS750 to XS885D - For sale for real this time

Re: 1977 XS750 to XS885D - I can't sell this thing. Moving to Seattle.

Love the look of the bike man, very nice build.

Do you happen to remember the part number or which uni filters you purchased? I've got my K&N's but as soon as I saw yours I was ready to make the swap.

Hope you still have the bike man.

Thanks. I ended up keeping the bike and adding a Guzzi V7. The Guzzi handles commuting duties.

Search for UNI PK-92 filters.

Re: 1977 XS750 to XS885D - Just riding it now

I took it out today for a nice ride. Living in Seattle means occasional winter riding, unlike Chicago, where I parked it in November and pulled it out in April. It ran fine, but I am getting some brake squeal. I think that when the calipers were powder coated, some of the paint interferes with the calipers float. I'm going to disassemble them and take a look.

Re: 1977 XS750 to XS885D - Just riding it now

Thats awesome.. I'm in the expensive process of rebuilding one of these engines from boxes of parts.. been collecting bits for over a year now, and assembly will start within a month. No kids here so hope to get it together before spring. No real rush though as i have one running. :)

About the brake squeal - grinding the sides of the pads to an angle will solve it.

Hey man!

Its been a while but can you remember what kind of tires are on that beauty?
Just digging trough my XS project...thanks in advance!
Would you recommend these tires?
