Very nice! You could do something with the red and the dished-in areas on the tank, as accents. Paint them all red with the remainder of the tank black, or outline them in red pinstripe, or etc. etc.

You read my mind, i think I am going to do exactly that. Tank, seat, and front fender are completely black now and looking really good. I will throw some pictures up here soon.

Love it. Great idea to fit the ignition in the old handlebar mounting holes. Might have to steal that...

hellz yea, do it! you can use the old washer from the handle bars and it fits perfect.

Update: Been a while since I have updated this sucker! So the battery and all electronics are mounted, just have to hook them all up. And the front fender, gas tank, and seat are all painted and lookin pretty sharp. So all I really have to do is put the carbs back on, change the oil, and cross my fingers.

Looking sharp! Love what you did with the tank. Is that tail light slotted?

yea, it is just a cheapo light and hookup I found on ebay, it has a pretty cool slotted cover.

Looking good, are you staying with points? did you think anymore on carbs, I just bought some Triumph carbs for when I start my build later in the summer are you likely to so the same way?

I actually took my carbs to a machine shop and they fixed them for around $30... they were in pretty good shape but now they are looking really good. Hopefully they will work! We are almost done with the bikes re-wiring so hopefully it will be running in a few weeks.

Update: Lights! With the help of my fathers wiring expertise... the bike has now come to life! Headlight, tail light, and gauges are all looking pretty sharp. Starter and all other electronics are done as well, I really need to take some pictures of the wiring under the seat, looks amazing... hopefully I can get the oil changed and the carbs put on soon that way we can see if the sucker will start up.
