Hey xb33bsa,

It hasn't been an issue so far.

Here is a better shot to show the new ride height.

Today I finished up and installed my new indicator light dash to replace the ugly original. I think it turned out really well. I just have to go back and hide the wires a little better and group them all up. Let me know what you guys think.

it does look nice just remember when adjusting the chain you must leave a LOT more slack, like twice as much, in it than with stock shock length

Great work!

Any chance we could get a better peak at your storage compartment? What did you use for a catch to hold it closed? Do you have stops to keep the lid from sliding off the tracks? Would hate to think it might separate during flight!

Really nice factory looking tail section.

Very nice. What is the material you used?

Hey Habanero,

I actually made everything out of plastic this time. The top where the LED's are mounted is acrylic, the round surface is a piece of 3" PVC, and the center tube that the ignition goes through is just a 1" tube (not sure what kind of plastic). I tacked the pieces together with 5 minute epoxy, then fiberglassed the inside for strength. I used bond to fill the seams round the material transitions. Then 3 coats of sandable primer, wet sand, and then 2 coats of black.

Hey jpmobius,

There are some set screws on the tracks to keep the dome from being fully removed. There is a simple spring loaded pin latch on the bottom the goes into a hole in the dome. This works because the dome cannot rotate until it is slid all the way back, so the pin really just keeps it from sliding. Check the few old pictures I pulled from the build.
