1978 Triumph Tiger 750 Build

Yup.

I think it might flow even better( if you were gonna make some) to add a peak across the face about 2" down from the top. And maybe take some off the bottom to give a peak at the mono shock.

I don't know man, I am really torn on whether to leave it open to see the shock or put the airbox and side covers on. I guess I will only be able to tell when I really mock it up. I should be getting it out of the shop this week.

Ya know, I think you might be right.
I normaly don't like empty space under the seat on a brit bike. It just dosen't look classic. But you've departed from classic a long way back. Go full bore! Show off all that fab work.

OK, well, the bike came home today!!!

and I am kind of worried that this looks odd from this angle, so I am not sure what I am going to do. I might just go with the corbin seat that is made for it.

The bike is looking great. My only concern is the width of the tail. It is making a nice skinny bike look like a mother of four (a little bottom heavy).

Otherwise, I am digging this build, man.

I agree, I know your trying to keep with a Duc theme but that tail is just WAY to big for that bike. A smaller tail would make the bike look a ton better.

You need to mod that tail, man. No offense but i agree with the previous posts. That tail is just hideous. If you can slim it and keep the shape, it would be great. Don't take a piece of the center though, just the sides where it bulges out looks weird. That frame with the rear end and forks look great. Whatever you do, don't try to make the tank and seat work with the foundation of the frame, motor, forks etc. I think the bike would probably end up looking better with another tank and seat imo.

Got to agree with the comments above, that tail's just not working imho. The rest of the bike is looking great.

Yeah, I think I am going to go with the corbin seat. the seat is actually bigger than what is in the pic below and I might go with my stock teardrop tank, but I do not know yet.

I say stay with the red tank, and glass/metal fab up a new seat. Hell use that Ducati tail as inspiration, just scale it down.

#3 looks good, but I'd try it with a squarer seat hump to better match the boxy tank shape. Doesn't have to be the same shape but maybe something "squarer" might work but not too large.

The stock tank and a corbin seat are a good looking combo. But I think they may be too common for this bike.

I say find a way to slim it down or go with a different, boxie seat.

#2, I love the stock triumph tank. It can be made to look like a cafe racer, and after all it is a triumph.

So, you are saying that the seat is just too common, or the seat and the tank are too common? I was thinking of going to different tank and seat all together, but I have not made up my mind yet.

Thanks, I just am not sure which way I am going to go with it.

I'm saying that the combo of the US market tank and the Corbin seat look great together. Which is why so many folks have gone that route. Very nice looking stuff, fits well, flows well. Would surely save some time and headache.

BUT, I really love the far-out nature of this build. (Don't take it over to BritBike forum, those old ninnys would shit thier Depends) I like the euro tank, and I still dig the side profile with the Duc seat. But it needs some tweeking. Keep going with the radical stuff.
