Figured I'd bring my project over here from xs400.com. Started it a few years back but have gotten back into it recently.
Here it is in stock form.

Also built myself a lift table. Got the metal from a local steel company and put a stainless top on it. I made a tire clamp out of a trailer jack and some left over 2" square tubing. The ram is from harbor freight and seems to do the job. It has the option to use air to pump the jack and also can be pumped by hand.

The most recent accomplishment I have done is getting the exhaust built. It is currently over at a friends house who is tig welding it together for me. I spent at least 10 hours putting this thing together. Definitely looks easier than it is. However, for the first time I think it turned out quite well.

I bought a nice used 1977 Yamaha XS400 exactly like that back in 1986 in the same great condition and enjoyed many miles on it 8)

Good job on the lift!!

Thanks! If you ever get the urge to make one be sure to drill the holes as accurate and straight as possible. Makes the assembly much easier.
