1979 CB400T Hawk

I know this was really a boring thread with out allot of updates and progress photos, but I have had a ton of stuff going on lately and my documentation has suffered.

In other words its summer time and I have been riding, drinking beer, partying, and trying to have a good time!

However I did get the old Hawk completed and snapped a pic of it with my phone the other day. I'll get some hi res stuff in the next couple of days with some detail shots.

Take care and ride safe guys.

That looks GREAT man... One of the best seats I have seen on a 400T. Makes me want to finish my one up. Good Job.

Quit being lazy and post some pics! ;D

We need to do another Midpines fly by! Or two I would like to get the Centauro and the Superhawk on video as well.

Maybe we can make it the Blaney Franks fly by instead.

That bike is sweet. Do you have pics of just the seat, it looks awesome. Also are you running pod filters?

Thanks Guys - I'll get back to you on some photos of the seat. I wanted to get a bunch this weekend, but ended up having to work on my wifes jeep all weekend long.

No pods on this build. With the CV carbs I decided to leave the air box installed. They can be a little tempermental with dirty air. I built this bike to sell and wanted to avoid unforseen issues with performance and reliability.

Wow that came out amazing! Really gets me excited to see the odd cb400 frame turned into an agressive cafe. Cant wait for more pics and details!

I have to say, this is my new favourite DTT bike. Stunning. Just.....wow......

looks like maybe BOTM
dope and i like the colors also i have been working with a similar idea and this seals the chrome gold gloss debate

Thanks for all of the compliments guys.

The handlebars are a "cost ;D effective" set of clips ons. I had a pair of CB350 risers and a set of drag bars in the spare parts bin . I welded gusseted L brackets to the bottom of the triple tree to attach the risers to. I believe mysta did something like this on one of his bikes. Unfortunately my triple trees wouldn't allow for me to just flip the risers to the bottom side so it took a little more work.

surprisingly, they turned out pretty dang comfortable.

That's the best looking Hawk I've ever laid eyes on. Well done ;)

Looks like it's running a bit hot though (blue pipes )
