1979 CB650 Cafe build, early stages

So, first bike, first build, much respect to you all because this seems to be getting to be just a bit more than I can handle but I am forging ahead!

First; the bike. It's a 1979 CB650 that has only 7500+/- miles on it that was a one owner bike. It's in very decent shape, the seat is absolutely flawless (too bad its not going to be used) small amount of surface pitting on the chrome parts here and there (also not being used) but the one of the carbs was clogged pretty bad and there was a decent amount of sludge in the float bowls (all cleaned already and awaiting new jets to accommodate filter pods)

So next, the tear down. I've got it down to the frame, engine and front end. Electrical is out and thinking it safer to have it rewired (any help on this like who I should take it to would be appreciated) Changing all bearings, chain and sprockets, and possibly the axles as well. They don't seem to be off, but the axles are pitted on the ends. Once I get it torn down to just the frame, got to get the rear sets mocked up, cut and weld on a tail loop, build a seat (got some good videos for reference by Herm Narciso) then have the frame blasted and powder coated (still can't nail down what color I want) Meanwhile the engine needs to be opened and given a once over. Now it sounds like I know what I am doing, but I don't really. I know what may need to be done, but NO idea on where or how to do them. I can handle the dis assembly and assembly because I can turn a wrench, but no idea how to outsource the major things I need done. SO: I am in the south Chicago suburbs but have no problem traveling with my parts within Chicagoland to get them right. So let me have it fellas! I will cruise the forums for tips in the meantime. Thanks

...and just in case anyone is wondering why that muffler is still on, its because the screws that hold it on are seized and I haven't bought a drill and tap set yet. LOL
