Well I figured it was time to know the dust off the ol build thread... Finally gotten some time to throw a wrench at old bones... No pics yet but i have altered my seat/ tail section, and it looks alot more complete. Ive also relocated most of the electronics and battery to under the seat and tail. My motty design battery just came in... STOAKED!! I should have pics in the next couple days. Also waiting on the stupid lock nut socket from honda so i can replace my clutches and install the cb900 clutch springs... Should be starting bondo and paint next week. Also considering pulling the engine and doin a nice clean up of the frame, but im on the fence as i have a new clyinder and head to install with a weisco 836 kit. Im waiting to install it till i have the $$ to buy some CR carbs. but i know ill have to pull the egine then so i dont know if i want to have to do it twice. but i also would really like to clean up the frame some as i have eliminated alot of dif. mounts and such. I also need to re-do some of my wiring but ughhhh i hate wires... pics to come soon...

Nice bike. I like the direction its going in. Also nice to see a fellow Arizonian (made that word up). Winters are great but the summers make you want to kill yourself lol. Keep up the good work and keep us posted.
A few pics for everyone. some progress has been made. Heres a shot of my super sweet moty design battery.
Heres my electronics tray. theres now a plate that holds the battery as well.
heres the addition to the tail piece, as well as the begining of the tank straightening process, and all the space i opened up in the frame by movin the battery and wiring.
Heres some photochopping i did with paint. Not exactly profesional quality but it gives an idea of where im going with the bike. will probable do more work tomorrow so i may have more pics of the bike soon.
That's a clean looking elec. tray there. Makes me want to do one for mine so I can get that sweet "look through" area under the seat. But as I suck at electronics I may have to have someone else fab that up for me. I'll be watching this one.
On another note, wider tires can be had if you considered going with the mag wheels. The Enkeis on the Early 80's Nighthawks run a 150 rear and a 120 front. You'd have to swap to the triples and forks from the Hawks, but hell, you'd get dual disc brakes and air adjustable shocks. not a bad trade-off. The rear would bolt right up since they're both drum brakes.
