1979 DT100 Cafe build!

Stop looking for 90/90-16's they dont exist in a street tread.
Good to know. Honestly, I've only looked for 16" tires for the rear tire on my old CB250. I just assumed they made 90/90-16 street tires since you can get 90/90-19, 90/90-18, and 90/90-17 street tires.

I'd be happy to be informed otherwise but as far as I can tell they just don't make em.

Get them here in the UK, so sure you must be able to get them over there.

No, you cannot get that tire, the one single 90/90 that is on the site, in the U.S. unless you order it internationally. Over here, MITAS sells tractor tires.

Next.

You are welcome. As CALfeRacer said before I posted that tire, Bike Bandit is an excellent source for tires and lots of other stuff.

Just be sure to check with them on OEM parts availability if you ever see something rare, at times they list parts that are unavailable.

Tirez look great! Front wheel's too small ;D

One of my absolute favorite current dtt projects, it is looking great man.

Keep going and prove me wrong on the front wheel!

Made some progress over the past couple weeks. The seat has been shipped out for a surprise!

I know it is a cafe racer build but I keep going back and forth on the bars. I know they have to be cut, but up or down...that is the question.

What about in between for the bars? You know, drag bars

Bars up. I used Renthal ultra low superbike bars trimmed 1 ½ inch n each side. They ride fine and look right for the size of the bike. I considered M moped bars, but didn't like the feel with the stock foot peg location. I think lowered bars will only work well with rear sets on these small frames.

I really like the look of that tank. I wonder if a dt100 tank would fit on my ke100. How long is it?

From the top of the tank it is approximately 16" long and from the side at the longest point is it approximately 18" long.
