1980 CB750K - Replacing Left Crankcase Cover and Spark Advancer Cover

Long story short the bolts that hold the spark advancer cover on are completely seized to the crank case cover. I've got a bit of a hanging idle and I suspect the spark advancer is hanging up and I would like to be able to access it anyway. I have tried several high end bolt extractors to no avail. The steel bolt has just completely seized to the aluminum housing. I have a replacement crank case/advancer cover assembly on hand, but I'm assuming the engine oil is directly behind that crank case cover and I should wait till my next oil change to swap out the part to keep from losing the fresh oil I just put in.

Am I correct in assuming that the crank case cover is indeed containing all the oil in the crank case? Or can I go ahead and swap these out whenever?

Thanks in advance.
