Todd, my bike will be primarily a commuter and around town bike also. Here is the plan at this point:

Mod the sub frame, kinda like Junior Burell did on his 450.

fabricate a seat pan, seat and rear fender.

fabricate rear sets.

fabricate clip ons.

Use the stock tank, but add a "falsie" to it, changing the teardrop profile to something more cafe-ish. (possibly a compartment for a battery)

fabricate head light mounts and lower the headlight.

Lose the RPM gauge since I can't use it, center the speedo, and lower it.

Still deciding on whether to use just a taillight and no signals or with signal lamps.

vertical license plate mount.

I have the engine top end disassembled, I'm going to re ring it and reassemble with fresh gaskets, seals etc.

Still noodling on whether to do brushed aluminum or black heat dissipating paint on the engine.

Stock carbs to be jetted with pod filters

Front fender to stay, but I'll paint it and rear fender to match tank color.

Stock exhaust headers, toss the boat anchor crossover and fab a lighter one in with fabricated open exhaust pipes.

Well, needless to say, I've not had any time to give this bike since I started this build. There have been changes at work etc, sort of sold my free time for a promotion, LOL. also bought a Harley. Things are slowing down now and I can start thinking about the honda project again, and I'm still stoked, love the bike. I was on my way home from work at about 8pm the other night, saw a group consisting of Triumph cafe's, A honda bobber, headed north on I95, all blacked out and sounding sweet.I am inspired.
