so I bought this GS750 wanting to make it some sort of bobber/cafe thing, but I came across a 2007 GSXR 750 with its frame cracked. for only $200 and the motor ran.
SO, this is what I've been doing. got the front forks on but need a custom bearing for the triple tree.
future plans:
GSXR swingarm
GSXR motor and mounts welded
as basic and "switchy" (give it an old look kinda)
and try to make it as a naked fighter. but with an old frame. (it looks good in my head.)
will be posting more progress!
and time to take a break with my pre-21 birthday gift.
EDIT: from the rider that had this bike: always look for riders, cars aren't the only thing on the road.
the toro bag shall be applied to the forehead for maximum wind resistance.
today's work was light. just wanted to see what I can do to get the swingarm to fit.
she looks really good, if you ask me! gotta get the mounts milled down to fit the swingarm and redrill the mounts to fit the bolt. after that, would need to fabricate some sort of mount for the top of the strut.
and if you don't have a 19mm allen, use one of these guys or a spark plug ratchet! (I'm new, and literally found this out on my own and apparently everyone knows.)
Nice! I started my CB cafe build but I have something similar for my second. If you are in Fairfax, I am not that far from you. I am in Maryland, north or Rockville.
