1980 Honda CB 400t Air Filter/carb overflow

Chiller than most.
I am by no means a mechanic and I just bought this cb 400t. I am trying to take out the combined air filter, carb overflow, ac drainage, and breather drain box thing to use pod filters. Should I just leave it, because I am getting in over my head? Or do I even need these? I appreciate any help. Again, I could be asking a stupid question because I have hardly any clue what I'm doing or talking about. But it's a learning experience haha.

Read more first, tear more stuff off later.

- read
- get it running well
- read some more
- continue to work on how it runs
- then read some more
- realize that it could probably run better
- something about reading

At this point you might want to consider pods. But what kind of pods? What brand? Foam? Mesh?

Hahaha. Well, I've read and read and read some more. I know what my end result would ultimately like to be. I just don't know any direct answers to my question of the drainage. To get it running better it just needs a carb adjustment (from what I've been told) and if I'm going to do that I might as well re jet for pod filters at the same time. Know, what I mean?
