1980 Honda CB750C Cafe/Brat build

Hi everyone, this is my first motorcycle and I'm working on it with my dad. I've had the bike since 2013, but only really started working on it this summer. I thought I would post the build on here so I could get some help and feedback.

This is my inspiration for the build: It's a bike by CRD.

Here's how it was when I first got it:

Right now I'm gonna do the seat pan and battery box. I was thinking of making the sheet pan out of metal, but I'm not sure what gauge. I've heard that 16 gauge is good. I also need somewhere to place the battery. Is it a good idea to use the Shorai LFX14L2-BS12 battery? I was thinking of putting it under the tank. I was thinking this location:

Also, should I put any lateral supports on the big open section of the seat? I was thinking of welding one on.

Anyone else done a similar build? I could really use the help. Thanks!

Are you guys able to see any of the images after the first 3? For some reason they're not showing up on my computer. I tried hosting them on google photos and then flickr and they're still not showing up.
