First project to basically keep me busy during knee rehab.

Then we have mid project.

My wife wanted to be able to ride on the bike so I had a seat cut to allow two up.

Took the sanding wheel to the tank for that industrial look then a few coats of clear of it.

New rear led light with 'custom' bracket :. Also, found the blinkers at the local Cyclegear for, buy one set and get the second set free!

So here she is finished. Well finished is a relative term. I'm finished with her should I say.

I drop my headlight and gauge and i put clip-ons, i very like it!

Since the picture, i put new tire and paint mags in glossy black
and i wait spring to put kz750 '78 tank on it, the shape is more interesting than the '81

Where I live there is a guy who works out of his garage and he cut the foam and covered it for me. We used the stock seat pan so I just told him to level it out and make it 'two up' friendly.

excellent, those kz's are a piece of work. I have one in my garage waiting to be made into a cafe.

where did you get the clubmans?

I took the clubmans off another bike in my garage that came with them. I have seen clubmans EVERYWWHERE online though. Easy to get, $29-$45 all over ebay

nice kz, is the tank clear coated or you just running it bare? Also did you rewire the bike or was it just a lot cleaner on stock wiring then my 81 lol

I clear coated the tank and battery box. I made a plate under the seat and fastened all the wiring there.

What did you rejet the carbs to?

+1 on the seat. Want to make something EXACTLY like that for my 400.
