Hi folks, been a while since the last build but that's because I've been busy building. Just finished this 1982 CB900F for a customer and still have my own '82 900F (now a 985F) to finish as well as a 1982 XV920, 1977 GT500 and a 1990 Katana 1100.

Anyway, this bike started life as a donor bike for my own ride until I got a call from an interested party and had a deposit in hand. My bike got put on hold in order to build this one. So here are the photos from beginning to final product. It always seems like I am taking so many photos but then when I go through them all I find I am missing a ton of steps so I will try to explain...

The bike when I brought it home.

Frame de-tabbed, hoop added and seat pan for the new custom designed fiberglass tail I made.

Tape lines showing how it will be trimmed, you can also see the rearset mounts I welded on to support the CBR600 rearsets.

So while the frame, swingarm and wheels were off to get powdercoated I started on the engine:

Entire bike theme is black and gold as per the customers request.

Back from powedercoating, tires mounted and re-assembly begins:

Had a problem with the dual exhaust and the kickstand as well as the position of the rearsets so I opted for a new 4 into 1 V&H unit and made some cool mounting brackets on my friends plasma machine:

Starting on the bodywork, my least favorite part of the builds:

then off to a friends paint booth as it was still too cold to be painting outside in April:

Painting the GT500 tank too:

Back home to work on the seat. Made a fiberglass pan to rivet the material to.
