I have a 82 cb900f that I picked up a few years ago and have been working on in my garage. I didn't know anything when I started, but I've finally begun to understand a lot more and was able to acquire a lot more tools and space. I love this bike and know it's going to be a constant work in progress and It was in pretty good condition so I didn't want to change too much from the actual bike itself also I didn't want to spend a ton.

- So far I have rebuilt the carbs (I have pods which now I regret but thought was a great idea when I started working on it)
- cut some tabs off of the frame
- Cut off tabs of the tank, spray painted then hand painted the logos and clear coated it. (the clear coat came out spotty and I'm not a fan, but I eventually want to get a different tank anyway so fuck it for now.)
- Cut and wrapped the original exhaust and welded on shorties. Sounds mean as fuck.
- New chain
- Oil/filter Change
- fork boots
- new tires
- new brake fluids
- rebuilt rear caliper and new disc brake
- cleaned and painted rear wheel
- new battery, terminal cables, fuses (relocated)
- new handle bars, grips, mirrors, and speedo

I still have to create the intergrated light bar for the rear hoop to then get welded on so i can finally make a seat pan, was sitting on a skateboard all year even though i didnt ride around much.
I want to replace the front brakes and pads, new clutch and sprockets and maybe a 4 to 1 exhaust instead. I actually came across a 2004 gsx-r front suspension that seems only to have a slight alignment issue but nothing that seems too much to work so maybe that will be going on this winter. Like i said I didn't know much and i'm working with what I got, but I like it and it's fun. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated as well unless you're just a dick then fuck you.

Honestly, I'm not big on those tanks. I like the stock style CB900. I have an 82 CB900-C(shaft driven model) that is disassembled that I'm trying to sell, and I have 2 extra tanks that I am including. If you decide that you'd like a different tank, I'd part with one of them for you, instead of including it with the bike. Below is a picture of the bike I have for sell(Not trying to sell you the bike. Just showing the 2 tanks in the pic. I also have 1 more.).

No worries man, your bike, your tastes. I'm just following along. I had an 81' 750F at one point. I don't need anything at this time but post up your stuff in the for sale forums. It usually moves pretty quick.

I think you misunderstood. Lol. I was telling TheDirtyJuan that I don't personally like those tanks. It's HIS bike. Not mine. And I was posting the pic so that he could see the type of tanks that I think look good on it.

OP,

What do you want for that tank, I'd be interested in buying it from you. I love those tanks. When done right, they look spectacular on a bike.
