Shoot, sorry man! I'll get some glamor shots up tonight.
The Hagons are awesome. They are considerably stiffer than oem and take an unimaginable amount of play out of the back end. The biggest improvement to handling (or maybe the aspect that tied it all together) was the lower profile seat. I never realized it but that stock seat is tallllll, with a seat that's 2-3" closer to the ground the bike feels so much more 'centered'. Corners are much more fun and I feel much more confident on it overall.
Sorry to bring this to the top, but I currently just started a s450 build and will be relocating all of my electronics. I was wondering what size battery you went with? Id like to do an Antigravity 4 cell, but I'm worried it won't be strong enough and the 8 cell would cold crank better. How do you like the Shorai? I would also love to see how your seat came out as I am working on mine now.
A couple of you have asked about some more build details and I've come to deliver...finally.
I've nearly got 10,000 miles on her (300 shy!) since I've had her back together and shes been running like a champ.
Couple small things,
had a coil overheat after warm, replaced with a used one and no problems since.
I 'richened' the needle by one shim, this absolutely helped even out the mid range and feels very smooth all around now.
Dreaded charging issues typical of the Suzuki GS line, replaced the stator and reg/rectifier with new upgraded components and its had zero issue since.
Still to-dos,
Rewire the bike, It's not bad as is but its very messy - I've got a lot of spliced in wires, shortened wires, and wires that are too long. I think that I need to finalize and fabricate a better, sturdier, fancier electronics tray to really get everything in a permanent place. I just haven't taken the time to dive in yet.
along with that I want to upgrade the coils - as i said - one has failed me already. Thinking Dynateks!
The taillight/fender/'hoop' area needs finished up. I've already got the plan to bend/weld a 'hoop' that follows the butt of the seat. Then attach a fender, plate and light pretty much how it is now - just more streamline and finished looking.
In response to the Shorai question, I love it. This thing has not let me down; even when my charging issues started this thing kept me going until the last minute. I'd definitely recommend one.
Pics!
Somewhat orderly rat's nest.
Reg/Rectifier under the box
Here she sits. Complete with battle wounds on the muffler from a pretty crazy camping trip.
Thanks to everyone who helped me out with this build over here! Ask away I'll try to keep up on this post for a minute!
