1982 Nighthawk 450 ( aka:the turd in the punch bowl) tracker/brat build

So now im fitting the tank up instead of the bolts to fit it on, its got the rubber bushing mounts. I suppose i couldve gone to honda and ordered som type of bushings but that seems like itd be too easy, i picked up some rubber fuel caps( ???) and cut them and drilled them up, the seem to be doing the job and fit rather nicely, (keep in mind, this is as low budget as possible haha)

And as it sits now on the mounts

still need to keep sanding away at the paint, although im kinda liking the bare steel look 8) it might looks pretty good with that stock orange and black stripe on there

now the ONLY PROBLEM im having now is the petcock on the new tank is smaller then the old one:

So my question is, do I buy a brass reducer for the petcock(does that exist?)? will that affect fuel flow and carb ratios? or do i order the original petcock for the new tank? and just hook that up and will that affect ratioes etc.. ? Any answers or suggestions would definitely be appreciated!! thanks for looking

Im not 100% sure , the only pictures ive seen come up on google images when I search 1978 Honda cb400t theres a boxier version with a stripe across the top, then only one or two pictures of bikes with this tank, i dunno if maybe its a canadian manufacturer difference or something? not sure

Definitely a 78 cb400tii hawk, I have the same tank on my bike.
