1982 Nighthawk 450sc lowering

Hi guys. This is my first post here. Was forwarded to you guys by dime city cycles. I am in the process of buying a set of rear shocks from them 12.5 mm to lower the back of my bike an inch. Factory rear shocks measure 13.5. I am looking to lower the front as well. My dilemma comes in the fact that I am not a fan of the look of pushed up threw the triple tree. It just looks like you took the easy way out. I have found Harleys and newer sport bikes they work with adjusting the internal spacers in the front forks. Before I dismantle and possibly ruin my setup I thought I would see if anyone has lowered the front forks on one of these bikes. I am only looking for about an inch drop. This winter I have done alot to the bike and really loving riding it but after a few hours stopping and being on my toes and not flat footed really gets annoying. I really hate to think of selling my first bike after 2 years of riding just cause its a little to tall for me and I am getting annoyed lol.

Well I rode it all this summer and definitely found the suspension is in need of work. Now that winters here I started tearing into it. Front springs are worn past factory specs. All places I look have no link to any springs for the front. I was forwarded a link saying to use these in place of my factory fronts Progressive Suspension Fork Springs 11-1109. Using those there about 1.5 shorter than factory. Using a .50 spacer for preload I figure I can Drop the front the appropriate inch I am looking for. I was also going to purchase the rear shocks from dime city but see some people recommend going with a better shock. I looked at hagons but they list the factory length and I would prefer to drop the bike an inch. Any advice on a direction to go I would really appreciate it. My final goal is decent handling with a 1" drop. Rear shocks would preferably be solid black as well. I am currently removing all chrome from the bike.
