1983 CB750F

So one year into the build and this is what the bike looks like now.

For those of you who did not read my introduction (which is basically the world), I’m building a café based on an 83 CB750F with upgraded wheels and suspension.
The parts list so far:
Frame: CB750F
Engine: CB750F
Fork: GSXR 1000 K8
Front Wheel & Brakes: GSXR 1000 K8
Rear Wheel: GSXR 1000 K8
Rear Brake: GSF 1200 1997
Swing arm: Over Racing type 3 wide
Shocks: YSS piggyback
Rearsets: Tarozzi (not on picture)
Tank and saddle: BCR
Still to come are exhaust and headlight. Exhaust will be a 4-1 stainless system. Headlight TBD.

Finally (kind of) finished. I pretty much ended up where I planned, except for the exhaust. Now begins the long slow process of continuous improvements.

Yeah, she’s a looker. Sadly I’ve found that building with BCR parts is like dating a beautiful girl only to discover she’s a little bit nuts.

Looks nice, man i wish I would have done a USD conversion on mine. You were smart and kept the stock air box. What do you think of the seat? I find it to be a little lacking in the comfort department.

It’s never too late to go USD . I’m still considering my options regarding the air box. I want a bike that is drivable and safe and so far, I’m not totally convinced that the best solution has been found yet. As for the seat, a comfortable café racer is quite close to an oxymoron ;D. I don’t think it’s too bad though. The riding position distributes the weight well, especially with the pegs directly under your bum. Do some core training, squeeze the tank with your knees and you will be fine.

Yea the only problem is that I have a drum rear so that limits my wheel choices down to spokes, quick I guess isn't too bad. Maybe a next wiinter project. Roughly what did the conversion cost you? I figured at least a grand.

I bought the fork complete with calipers, upper and lower triple clamp, bars and brake lever/pump for 8k NOK which is about 1 grand in US money. The stem is my design and I paid one bottle of fine brandy (and a slightly strained friendship) to have it made.
