I'd suggest you turn the rectifier upside down and bolt it to the underneath side of the mount you've welded in. That way it will have the cooling fins in some open air as opposed to stuck under the seat (they don't like getting too hot).

I might just do that after I see how warm it gets. The metal will help heat sink it a bit and the foam under the seat will be gone in the final build.

That blue LED looks like it is going to blind you when you are driving down a dark road and decide to turn on the main beam!

It is really bright or was that just the camera making it look so?
