Yeah I want to replace that rear air shock sometime. What's the eye to eye length on that shock? Is it it good condition? Been rebuilt? Holding gas pressure ok? How much?

I've been enjoying your build for quite a while, and feeling a bit of the frustration about the non-revving problem your having.
A thought occurred to me today as I watched the latest video instalment, the bike actually sounds like it's revving right out and I wonder if the problem could be that the rev counter that's fitted from the another bike isn't accepting the signal at the same rate as the original tacho and it's reading low as a result. This would explain why you keep hitting the brick wall in revs - your actually revved right out and the rev-limiter is kicking in at the correct setting - but reading low on the tach.
I'm no electronics expert (quite the opposite in fact), but if you can jury-rig the original instruments to the bike with only the tacho connected up, this may provide an answer...
Good point. I verified the tach's accuracy yesterday with a digital meter. It's spot on. Problem is in the CDI box and the carb's main circuit mixture. More in next week's video.
