2001 XL883 Sportster Mild Cafe - $4k

That thing is pretty boss amigo.
Although the seat reminds me of the grinch's heart. 3 sizes too small ;)

Thanks man, I actually like the proportions of the seat. It looks a little strange from certain angles, but from the side and rear I think it's pretty killer.

Hey Coyote, here's the deal. Really cool bike, but in this market you're up against a gazillion bikes. People don't realize that Sportster was the best selling bike for probably a couple decades and they are everywhere. The thing that will make yours stand out, besides the cool look of it, is you need to make it "ride away". I can tell you there are several guys looking at this , but they aren't you and don't know squat about brakes. Make this a "ride away" and some kid will be there to buy it. Price is right, bike is cool, but for 4k, nobody wants to wrench on it.... Good luck, cool ride.

Good feedback, thanks Bill. I keep saying "I'm gonna get the brakes hooked up this weekend" and then something gets in the way, or I finally have time to myself and just need to relax.

Excuses, excuses, excuses....

thats about the first HD i enjoy. bring it to australia and youd get 10k for it instantly haha.

gl with the sale

Haha thanks mate, guess I'm heading dahn ahndah, yeh?

10k would cover the cost of shipping and one hell of a wild trip..... damn you for putting these thoughts in my head!

Freight container to Aus is cheaper than you'd think. I had my stuff shipped to the UK from the West Coast of the USA and it was under four grand (and they did all the packing and customs crap).

Yeah but then the bullshit of getting ADR compliance...even though its the exact same Harley they sell in Australia.

Welllllll, I haven't been trying too hard to get this puppy sold, to be honest I've been having a lot of fun riding it and working out little issues.

Finally got the front brakes set up with a braided stainless line. Feels really weird riding it now, but certainly much safer. Might work on a new exhaust bracket and a different brake/tail light setup this weekend if I get the time (and the light). Other than that I think she's good to go, I guess I'll call this a Friday bump?

I'll give ya a firm handshake and a case of your beer of choice 8)
Hey its worth a shot.

If you were closer to me, I would've been interested. Montreal to Dallas is a bit to far. Good luck
