Re: ***2009 - THURSDAY HANG *** Be It Wrenching in the Garage or Hanging at TIMS
Sounds good!
The Leslie Spit shoreline is crazy. The whole thing is made of clean fill...so it's old bricks, twisted metal and other rubbish. A bunch of leather clad thugs with snarling bikes around a campfire out there will be like a scene right out of Mad Max.
yeah.. basically don't get caught.. no open flame in city limits.. so keep it under control and most ppl don't give you too mush sh!t. Don't go for the 6' flame firepit route.

What's the techincal definition of 'open flame'? I guess those fire pits / chimneas or whatever they're called people buy for their backyards are 'open flame'?
I happened to be in the East end last night ,after recovering from the dumping last night and back into semi dry gear, I drove past the Spit. This used to be the greatest hangout spot...before the gentrification. Unwin street was under water and to bypass the gate, the puddle was too big to manouver a bike through, damn.
Looking forward to finding some new riders in the city.

Re: ***2009 - THURSDAY HANG *** Be It Wrenching in the Garage or Hanging at TIMS
If it were dry, is it possible to squeeze a bike through the gate?
I think a little wiggle would do. Don't get caught inside the gate of course...
I have an awkward route to the back yard/ winter spot, so this is not much worse, no bar end mirrors.
Re: ***2009 - THURSDAY HANG *** Be It Wrenching in the Garage or Hanging at TIMS
I got stuck inside the Kickstart Cycles shop. The gate wouldn't open for me and I didn't have a key. I had to fold in my bar ends and do a wiggle out the door (the regular sized people door, not car gate).

i personally won't wanna hang around too much as there's probably mosquitoes everywhere and don't need another swollen eye cause of it. (why is my eye so juicy??)
but i'd ride out there and back and maybe somewhere else.
