kind of stupid looking to my eyes. Like the DONK version of a motorcycle. And o a hard tail like the bike below, you lose that little bit of comfort that a 16" biasply sidewall would provide.
Depending on the bike, it can 'look' good, but at the end of the day, you have to consider performance over looks.
An 18" rear rim with a 4 inch tire on it is almost exactly the same overall diameter as a 21" rim with a 3 inch tire by the way. Its the setup I'm running on my XS650 based Voodoo Vintage frame bike with AVON tires front and rear. I'm using Yamaha TT500 (or is it XT500?) rims - drum brakes on both ends, alloy rims.
