ya the rake that has to be added is insane! We are doing a 23 on a road king in 2 weeks for my buddy... going to use rake cups, raise the stock suspension up to stock, and use some fender washers to add a bit more to allow us to tuck that big wheel under there... i have seen the 26 rims on harleys... man 3500 for a rim is a bit $$$

Whoa...thats insane! And you just know that the handling would be horrible...imagine the gyroscopic effect you'd be trying to overcome? Geez...

And 3500? My bike onroad with rego and 3rd party insurance was about US$2500! Argh!

Still... if its what they want... - boingk

Huh... the rear end on that bike is almost as big as the one on his girlfriend.

actually they handle great! when you run a fatty rim like that most guys will swap to a 120 min front tire, the fatter the front tire the more stabil on the road, also to make it happen you have to use some fork cups and rebuidl the front forms most guys on the touring bikes (i know on the ones i do) i use progressive damper springs, night and day difference. you got to think you are not going to toss a big wheel on the bike and nothing else, i typically run new suspension all around and a true track or some other type of motor stabilizer system. i only road a dyna with a 26, the touring bikes i have rode all had 23's and they rode great!

DAmn it!!.. I think I just Sharted in my pants!!.. Aww shoot.. I did..
