So do I...but no idiot lights and the speed range is higher than I'll ever ride so mostly in the 1st qtr haha!I like the second one.
I'd really wanted to mount the speedo on the fork leg.

It was an inspired idea lolI love the tank mount solution!
Thank you. I didn't want the badge recess showing as it looked awful with the bar clamp standoff foot sitting halfway across it....Really like that yoke cover, looks great on there. Its all in the little details!

Ah good...it'll be pushed. I plan to use a male clevis bolted to the forward caliper mount with a longer bolt. The other end will locate in the alloy GS1100 housing....maybe with a rose joint?I'd say that should be plenty strong - will it be pulled or pushed on?
Just realised I can't use the male clevis as it needs to be a U shaped fitting to wrap around the mount......upwards and onwardsAh good...it'll be pushed. Oh yeah......I think a 10mm female r/hand rose will fit the alloy housing on the swingarm as a forward adjustable (for length) mounting point.I like a good rose joint.
Ha...any old useful stuff is useful. The remarkable thing is, not only did I keep it thinking it'd be useful, then is was useful....but I also found it!!>>>I recently stripped out our old bathroom and kept the bath mounting frame of tubular steel as I thought it might come in handy....lo and behold, chopped it to make temp spacers.... <<<
I found some left-over PVC electrical conduit works great, too.
