So I'm putting the bike back together for the warm weather, and am trying to sync my carbs. Hooked up adapters, but before I fire it I'd like to know which "adjusting screw" and "locknut" I'll be playing with...
I have clymers and the shop manual, and I swear I can't find the one they're showing in the pic..
Often those manuals use a generic set of pictures to illustrate a process. It is highly likely that teh pictures are not of teh same carbs as fitted to your bike.
The key is to understand the process. What you are trying to do is to adjust teh carbs so that they both open together and are both working to the same extent. Typically, CV crabs are attached to erach other with a series of short throttle shafts and each one has a spring, bolt and nut to adjust one carb against its partner.
Some Hondas use a bent bit of metal to achieve that same result. So, what you are looking for is the way that one carb "drives" teh other. You adjust that "linkage" to make them open together
Excellent - thank you I ran away for a while, but will check as soon as I get home! Everything I looked at didn't particularly pertain to the linkage - except on the intake side w/ the choke.
I'll have to look harder Thanks again, will update when I find it (or get totally lost again )!
